IBER Publications brings the Principles and Practices of our Ancient Futuwwa Tradition to the Readers
IBER Publications continues its publishing life with the slogan "Only Our Classics".

IBER Publications, which continues its publishing activities as an initiative of Ibn Haldun University Publications, recently published the first 20 works from the futüvvet classics prepared within the scope of the "Futuwwa Youth Classics" project with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The futuwwa tree on the cover of the series was taken from Harputî's "The Signs of the People of Futuwwa", also published within the scope of the series.

Futuwwa classics are available from selected bookstores and online book sales sites.

An Original Literature for the Construction of a Muslim Society

While the concept of futuwwa, which describes the Prophet Abraham and Ashâb-ı Kehf in the Qur'ân al-Karîm and contains the meanings of "generosity, courage, youth, bravery, valour, valour, sacrifice", represents a social concept and a mystical understanding, the fütüvvetnâmas constitute a highly original literature that offers principles for both the moral evolution of the Muslim individual and the construction of a Muslim society, from economic life to eating and drinking and the etiquette of friendship.

From the 11th to the 16th centuries, these works, written in Arabic, Persian and Turkish from different geographies and schools of the Islamic world, bring the principles and practices of our ancient futuwwa tradition to today's readers.

From Suleimī, the author of the first surviving fütüvvetnââ, to Suhrawardî and Ibn Mi'mâr, from Ibn al-Arabî, who dealt with the metaphysical dimensions of fütüvvet, to Eşrefoğlu Rûmî, the fütüvvetnâ of many great names come together in this series.
