The Closing Ceremony of the Writing Workshop Was Held with the Participation of Istanbul Governor Davut Gül
The Writing Workshop, organized in collaboration between Ibn Haldun University and the Istanbul Children's Foundation, concluded with a closing program attended by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and our President Prof. Atilla Arkan.

The closing meeting of the "Writing Workshop" project, jointly organized by Ibn Haldun University and the Istanbul Children's Foundation, took place on February 26, 2025, at Ibn Haldun University’s Taş Mektep Campus, with the participation of Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and our President Prof. Atilla Arkan.

In his speech at the program, Governor Davut Gül, who also serves as the President of the Istanbul Children's Foundation, emphasized that their goal as a foundation is to contribute to the education ecosystem and raise awareness in this field. He highlighted the importance of not only cultivating a reading habit but also developing writing skills.

The training sessions within the workshop were conducted within a broad framework, covering topics such as becoming a reader of children's literature, reviewing literature on teaching writing to children, and applying creative writing activities in the classroom. Twenty-five Turkish language teachers completed the 18-hour-long creative writing training and received their certificates from Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, our President Prof. Atilla Arkan, our Vice Chancellor Prof. Özcan Akgün, and workshop instructor Assist Prof. Melike Günyüz.

This program aims to help educators provide more effective writing training to children, equipping them with pedagogical skills in writing and inspiring them to become teachers who encourage creativity and expression.
