Within the scope of the Ibn Haldun University-YETEV collaboration, YETEV Schools General Manager Hayati Oktay, Program and Publication Development Manager Neriman Tekeli Hayıroğlu, and Corporate Communication and Promotion Manager Caner Ömer Tuncer visited our university on Thursday, March 6. The YETEV delegation was welcomed by the Vice President and Acting Dean of the School of Education, Prof. Özcan Erkan Akgün, along with our faculty members. During the visit, the YETEV delegation met with Lecturer Zehra Yıldırım, who teaches the "EDU 444 Montessori Education" course, and our students.
Thanks to this collaboration with YETEV Schools, which have international accreditation in Montessori education, our Guidance and Psychological Counseling program students have the opportunity to gain direct experience in addition to acquiring theoretical knowledge about understanding children and the nature of learning-teaching processes. This collaboration aims to have experienced YETEV teachers with master's and doctoral degrees teach at our university, certify the courses, organize school visits, allow our students to spend a semester of their education at YETEV schools, conduct some faculty courses at the school, provide academic mentorship support from our faculty members to the teachers, and jointly conduct scientific research and R&D activities.
We are excited to share the positive outcomes of our collaboration in terms of our students, teachers, faculty members, and contributions to the field.
