Within the framework of the World Arabic Language Day, which is commemorated annually on December 18, a cultural event was held on our Başakşehir Ibn Haldun University Complex, in cooperation with the Saudi Embassy in Ankara.
The event, which took place in the Media Center Event Hall, and attended by many diplomats, university presidents and academics, started with the opening speeches of N. Bilal Erdoğan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of our University; Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, our President; Fahad Bin Assaad Bin A. Abualnasr, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Ankara; Dr. Abdurrahman el-Qarni, Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language Teaching to Non-Native Speakers at Umm al-Qura University; Dr. Faysal Bin Abdurrahman Osra, Cultural Attaché of Saudi Arabia and Dr. Ebtisam AbdAleem AbdelHalim from King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language. After the opening speeches, Ibn Haldun University students demonstrated their Arabic skills that they have acquired in the School of Languages, through a poetic and rhetoric drama performance. The program continued with a poetic debate performance of the students from Al-Fayez International Schools.
The program, where traditional compliments of both countries were served and cultural activities was held, was concluded with mutual presentation of gifts.
