The first of our 2023 consultation and discussion camps was held on September 15-17 on the Democracy and Freedom Island with the participation of all our academicians.
At the opening of the camp, our Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan and our Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan made greeting speeches.
In his speech, Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan talked about the student social center, which is planned to be opened at the beginning of October, the second phase student dormitories, the construction of which will start this semester, and the steps taken to meet the need for guesthouses and lodging.
Our Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan, on the other hand, mentioned the importance of each department to produce active projects for its own vision and mentioned that the accumulation and sharing of experience will build a common mind.
On the second day of the camp, after the presentations of strategic plans, publications, projects and educational surveys made by our vice-rectors Prof. Mustafa Kemal Yılmaz and Prof. Ali Yeşilırmak, our academicians gave examples of courses in which innovative learning and teaching processes were applied by departments. The last session of the second day of the camp was devoted to the human resources planning workshop.
The Academic Staff Consultation and Discussion Camp, where information on accreditation processes was also provided, ended on Sunday, September 17 after the workshop evaluation of our Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan.
