Decisions regarding Education Regulations

After the occurrence of the earthquake disaster on February 6, a decision was made to shift university education and training activities to online platforms until further notice. Subsequently, the Council of Higher Education issued a fresh directive on March 31, outlining the guiding principles for education and training during the upcoming Spring Semester of the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Pursuant to this announcement, education will commence in compliance with the stated principles, effective from April 3, 2023, and for the relevant period.

  1. Face-to-face education can be provided in classrooms without the condition of attendance for those who want it, in addition to the distance education currently being implemented.
  2. Our students who continue their education in another higher institution as private students can continue their education in the same way.
  3. Undergraduate students who will take application courses can continue these courses face-to-face as of April, and those who cannot attend the application can be assigned assignments, projects, etc.
  4. Midterm exams for the Spring Semester can be conducted online or face-to-face using the distance education method based on the transparency and audibility principle, except for programs that include application education rights as private students; open-ended or multiple-choice online exams, assignments, online short exams, projects, Learning Management System (LMS) activities, LMS usage analytics, and similar applications can be used for the evaluations of exams.
  5. For English and Arabic preparatory education;
    5.1. Students who receive English and Arabic preparatory education can start face-to-face education within their current class groups, including those who want to connect to the course online and continue to take regular attendance as of April 10, 2023.
    5.2. Face-to-face and online classes can be opened separately from the 5th module onwards.
    5.3. Various planning can be implemented for different groups and levels to increase the effectiveness of language education within the Language School.
  6. Final, makeup, and single-course exams for the Spring Semester can be conducted online or face-to-face on the dates announced to the students.
  7. In the Spring Semester, thesis monitoring and proficiency exams in graduate programs, and master's and doctoral proficiency thesis defenses can be conducted online or face-to-face.
  8. The application methods of the final, makeup, and single-course exams for the Spring Semester will be submitted to the Rectorate by the relevant committees.
  9. Our students who are currently enrolled in Ibn Haldun University Dormitories can re-enter the dormitories from Wednesday, April 5, 2023, and our students can continue their previous period registrations under the same conditions.
  10. The Council of Higher Education’s decisions regarding the organization of the Spring Semester will be taken into consideration, and necessary precautions will be taken within the framework of these decisions.
