In order to eliminate the difficulties and confusion encountered during the preference process, we started preparations for TercihFest 2024, which is organized to bring together university candidates from elite high schools with experts in their fields and to offer a real campus environment for 3 days before placement, and high school visits within this scope. In this context, a total of 47 institutions have been visited since the beginning of the school year on October 2, 2023. In addition, a total of 30 seminars were given in our promotional activities where we hosted 9 high schools on our campus.
As part of the preparations for TercihFest 2024, we hosted nearly 1,000 students from Beyoğlu Anadolu Imam Hatip High School, Kartal Anadolu Imam Hatip High School, Governor Muammer Güler Social Sciences High School, Akif İnan Anadolu Imam Hatip High School, Prof. Mümtaz Turhan Social Sciences High School, ITO Başakşehir Kız Anadolu Imam Hatip High School, Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Anadolu High School, Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Anadolu High School, Şule Yüksel Şenler Kız Anadolu Imam Hatip High School from Balıkesir and Kaptan Ahmet Erdoğan Anadolu Imam Hatip High School from Rize. The 11th and 12th grade students from the aforementioned high schools had the opportunity to attend conferences given by Dr. Burcu Uysal and Dr. Taha Burak Toprak from the Psychology and Law departments, our Research Assistants Nurhayat Bekir and Ömer Faruk Petek, and Researcher Meryem Karacan in the real university environment on our campus, and had the opportunity to get detailed information about the departments and to meet one-on-one with the department professors. Prof. Dr. Mümtaz Turhan Social Sciences High School students also met with Prof. Alev Erkilet, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Assoc. Ali Aslan, Head of the Department of Politics and International Relations, within the scope of the Social Sciences Workshop.Our promotional team, which contacted a total of 4,000 students in Istanbul and other provinces of Turkey in just 28 days with these activities, continues its promotional activities without slowing down to welcome distinguished high school students from all over the country to our campus in the 5th year of TercihFest.
