Our university (IHU) and Pakistan’s largest and the world’s second-largest university, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), met today to discuss possible areas of cooperation in joint degree programs, certificate programs, and training programs in the field of Islamic Finance. This meeting was held to strengthen the existing bilateral ties after the MoU signing ceremony held between both parties earlier this year, on March 2nd, 2022.
The meeting was held at our main campus and was attended by Prof. Dr. Shah Mohyuddin Hashmi, Dean of Arabic and Islamic Studies Faculty (AIOU), Dr. Zahid Majeed Director, Academic Planning and Course Production and Director of International Collaboration & Exchange Office, (AIOU), Prof. Dr. Rasim Özcan, Dean of Graduate Studies (IHU), Assist. Prof. Dr. Nihat Gümüş, Department of Management (IHU), Assist. Prof. Dr. Asad ul Islam Khan, Department of Economics (IHU), Dr. Waqar Badshah, Department of Economics (IHU), and Mr. Enes Yalman, Director of International Office (IHU).
AIOU has over 1.2 million students and offers more than 150 programs up to PhD. Furthermore, over 2500 courses from four faculties are in the university, namely the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Education/Teacher Training, Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies and Faculty of Sciences.
