Ibn Haldun University (IHU) and Pakistan’s largest and the world’s second largest university, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding today at Ibn Haldun University Main Campus. The agreement will see both higher education institutions cooperate on different areas as well as collaborate on joint research, publications, seminars, conferences, projects, and student and staff exchanges.
“There Are Many Potential Areas in which the Two Institutions Can Cooperate”
Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, IHU’s President, expressed his delight in signing the MOU, stating that the relationship between Turkey and Pakistan is important going forward, and sees many potential areas the two institutions can work together.
Prof. Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum, Vice Chancellor of AIOU, mentioned the uncertainty of higher education learning and the potential transformation in the years to come, stressing the importance of this partnership and utilizing the expertise and strengths of both universities required to overcome these challenges.
The ceremony was held in the presence of academic representatives from the various departments and schools of both institutions, who discussed the potential areas of this collaboration and future projects.
