The final stage of the competition, in which the qualifying competitions were held at the Ibn Haldun University Complex, was held at the Haliç Congress Center on 22 June.
In the finals attended by our Rector Prof Dr Atilla Arkan, the Ibn Haldun University Arabic Debate Team came first in the category of non-native Arabic speakers.

The VI. International Universities Debate Competition was held in Türkiye, and organized outside of Qatar for the first time. The competition, organized by QatarDebate in partnership with Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, Ibn Haldun University, Turkish Airlines and TRT, is the most prominent student competition in the world in the field of the Arabic language. Qatar Debate is an organization established by the State of Qatar and the Qatar Foundation.
The international competition was the result of the cooperation protocol signed in Doha on 7 December 2021, between Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University and Qatar Foundation within the scope of the Turkey-Qatar High Strategy Committee, and was held in Istanbul between 17-22 June, 2022. The international tournament included 400 students from 50 countries and totalling 96 teams, with 150 international debate referees also participated. The qualifying rounds of the competition was held at Ibn Haldun University, with the final round and award ceremony was held on June 22 at the Haliç Congress Center.
