Haydar Aliyev commemoration program was held on Tuesday, December 12, marking the centenary of his birth and the 20th anniversary of his death. Haydar Aliyev Turkic World Scholarship Program was also introduced in the program.
In addition to our Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan and Nermina Mustafayeva, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, the heads of diplomatic missions of the full and observer member states of the Organization of Turki States in Istanbul and representatives of the Organization of Turkic States attended the meeting held at Hyatt Center Levent Hotel in cooperation with the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul and Ibn Haldun University.
While a photo exhibition about Haydar Aliyev was organized at the meeting, our Rector Prof. Atilla Arkan introduced the Haydar Aliyev Turkic World Scholarship Program of our University for the citizens of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States on behalf of Haydar Aliyev.
Within the scope of the Haydar Aliyev Turkic World Scholarship, one student from 8 countries, 5 full members and 3 observer members of the Organization of Turki States, will be selected by a commission to be established by our University and the Organization of Turkic States to receive undergraduate or graduate education at Ibn Haldun University.
The main purpose of the program is to educate future leaders and thinkers who see the Turkic World as a whole and who are committed to building a common future based on their common civilization and cultural past.
Our university will not charge tuition fees from students who are entitled to receive the Haydar Aliyev Turkic World Scholarship and will benefit from dormitory facilities. Students will also be given the opportunity to work as research assistants in the departments where they study.
The students will be selected among successful students from the universities of full member or observer member states of the Organization of Turkic States, member universities of the Union of Turkic Universities, according to their education in social sciences branches, who meet the conditions applied to the students of our University, who can follow the English education given, and who have the competence to fulfill their academic responsibilities.
