Adıyaman Psychotherapy Center Started to Serve Earthquake Victims
In the center, psychotherapy services will be provided for free by our Clinical Psychology Master/PhD students and graduates.

Our Psychotherapy Center, which was established with the collaboration of Ibn Haldun University, Zakat Foundation of America, AFAD and Adıyaman Municipality; established during the Eid visit of AFAD Adıyaman Coordinator Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Düzce Governor Cevdet Atay and their accompanying delegation.

Our Team Has Been in the Field for Psychosocial Support Since the 6th Day of the Earthquake

In the center, that land allocation was made by Adıyaman Municipality and the prefabricated building was built by AFAD, graduates of Ibn Haldun University Clinical Psychology Master's and Doctorate programs and doctoral program student therapists who did their Clinical Psychology internship at IPAM will provide psychotherapy services. Our Psychology Department faculty members and IPAM lecturers and our expert clinical psychologist team will supervise the experts who provide psychotherapy at the center.

17 therapists from our team of 53 Clinical Psychologists, who have been providing psychosocial support services in the field since the 6th day of the earthquake, will continue to serve at our center online.

48 People in a Day Can Benefit 

In our center, which has 6 individual therapy rooms and 1 group therapy room, our team will provide free individual therapy and group therapy services to adults, adolescents, and children of Adıyaman. By providing 8 session hours in a day, in our 6 individual therapy rooms, 48 clients will be able to receive individual therapy services. In addition, group therapy services will also be provided. According to the current plans, this process will continue for at least 6 months.
